Air Pollution PSA ~ Rebecca Stubbs

Posted by Rebecca Stubbs in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · 1b on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 6:40 pm

In this PSA video about Air Pollution, you will learn what the cause of air pollution is , some solutions to reducing air pollution, and how it is effecting the environment. I chose this topic because people need to know about air pollution and how this is a serious environmental topic. For this project, I think what I did well was the process of making this little video. It was really fun to make this video. What I could have done differently was maybe make the video a little longer even though a PSA isn't supposed to be that long. The most meaningful part about creating this PSA was how I was making and knowing that its going to be posted on my Youtube for the public to see.

Air Pollution PSA

I choose to do Air Pollution for this project and how it was affecting some cities in Pennsylvania such as Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia, and the southcentral counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) had issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for fine particulate matter On Thursday, January 14, 2021. I have done pretty well in gathering information from the source I was reading. I got to learn something I did not know happened, with is the Air quality Action for fine particulate matter. Environmental Science PSA

My PSA talks about Food Injustice. I gave valuable information as far as whose being affected the most, the choices that the unfortunate( black/ low-income families) people are faced with, possible solutions for fighting against food justice, and more. I chose this topic because I have developed an understanding of how people's lives are affected by poverty and their access to food is at corner stores and fast-food restaurants. After all, it's inexpensive and convenient. I summed up my information pretty well and posed pretty well solutions. The most meaningful part of the experience of creating the PSA was putting the pieces together to obtain my final product in a short video format. Environmental Mini PSA

Posted by Drew Rodgers in Environmental Science · Sasso-Chryst · 1b on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:37 pm

Hello everyone, My name is Drew Rodgers and I attend Ms. Sasso Enviromental Science class. My short blog is about air pollution to answer the questions of why our house gets so hot in the summer and also what is Ground-level Ozone? I wanted to educate all of our SLA students and their families on this topic because if we do not make a change now all of our homes will only get worst to live on. I know this video is short but one thing I'm glad I could get out was reasons and solutions as to why our houses get hotter when summer does come. One thing I could have definitely done better was memorizing a lot more facts for my video so I can give more helpful information. The most memorable part of creating this PSA was talking to my friends about it their projects as well as mine before I submitted it. This was kind of our big bang for Mrs.Sasso's class before we leave and graduate. I'm glad I got to do this to educate my readers about this post and also my classmates/friends. Thank you again for listening!
