The Brain under Stress V. Optimal Functioning

Reflection:  As a group, we learned about when the brain is under stress. The Hypothalamus (memory center) and the Pituitary gland (hormone center)  are the two major regions of the brain which are related to stress. The hormones that produce stress are adrenaline and cortisol. The adrenal glands produce cortisol. When under stress the body overproduces cortisol. When highly stressed or depressed, the other regions of the brain experience lower activity, while the regions related to regulating stress flare-up inactivity. 

Wonder? I wonder can some antidepressant medications cause someone more depression and stress?
