Growing up I always heard of community service, and I always felt as though if I participated in any form of community activity, I wanted the people I affected to remember me on a more personal level and feel as though I impacted their lives not just in the moment, but later on. Due to this, I was at a point where I really enjoyed the feeling I got from playing basketball myself, though, that is not what I see for myself in the future as a career, so I decided to coach a basketball team, for the Monarchs Youth Development Basketball League. This was a process that I was not too sure about, though once I dived in and invested my time into the young basketball players I was working with several days of the week, I came to enjoy myself and found a joy that sparked the interest that I was losing in the sport. Throughout this time I learned to become an even stronger leader/role model, as I am a person who has played in this youth developmental league, and show them what hard work on and off the court can help you grow to be a person that is on a path to success weather it is through basketball or not.
