"When I was a child, when I was a little kid I wanted to be an astronaut then a paleontologist, thats someone who studies dinosaurs because I like dinosaurs."

Autumn:Ok,here’s the first question.Where are you from?

Mr.Rosen-long: "I’m from Brooklyn,New York City."

Autumn:Ok.Describe the neighborhood you grew up in?

Mr Rosen-long: "The neighborhood I grew up in has changed a lot since I grew up there. When I first um… when my parents first moved to that neighborhood it was not a very wealthy neighborhood and the neighborhood was really diverse there was a lot of people from all over the world. A lot of my neighbors were spanish speaking,a lot were African American, and neighbors from Ireland. We had some neighbors from Asia, all over the place. And that was where I grew up, and we all used to play hockey in the streets together ,and stuff. And now the neighborhood has gotten more popular so it got more expensive. And then a lot of people that use to live there haven’t been able to stay in the neighborhood, they been pushed out...or displaced is the fancy word. And so now unfortunately the neighborhood is not the same as it was. It’s much fancier now.Just less exciting."

Autumn:Well, okay.Did you go to college? If so what college did you go to?

Mr.Rosen-long:" I went to Haverford College, which is in the suburbs right around here. It’s actually fifteen minutes that way, down lancaster avenue."

Autumn:That’s interesting. When you were young, what do want to be when you grow up?

Mr.Rosen-long: "Um…..I did not want to be a teacher.(giggles).When I was a child, when I was a little kid I wanted to be an astronaut then a paleontologist, thats someone who studies dinosaurs because I like dinosaurs . Um,yeah,a paleontologist is someone who goes and looks for dinosaur bones. When I got older I didn’t know what I want to be.I guess I wanted to work with politics, but not like be a politician.Like do stuff, like help an organization that helps people."

Autumn:Cool, last question. What is your earliest memory?

"Mr.Rosen-long:That’s a good question.Uh… my earliest memory ever. I remember when I was a little baby being in the old apartment,my parents used to live. And we had this dog,and I don’t know how big it was,but it seemed really big to me.I remember sitting and playing with the dog,it was a big brown dog. That’s probably my earliest memory."

Autumn:That seems cool.Well thank for answering these questions and participating in this interview.
