Dashawn Mcintosh-Inniss Capstone

Art has always been my passion growing up. For my senior project I wanted to make sure everyone knew what I could create. For the past year, I have been developing my artistic abilities by painting, drawing, and designing many objects that represent me as a person. My art is revolved around my race, culture, and city in which I reside. I create over 60 creations to showcase at my art show which is in the month of May, 2017. I designed hats, jackets, and shoes. I created many landscape pieces with spray paint. I decided to title my art show “The Wild Card” due to the fact that I am a wild card. When it comes to art I’m a broad street artist who is capable of creating anything. From graffiti, to murals, or custom shoes, you just never know what you are going to get out of me. Throughout this whole entire project I did have some assistance, but for the most part I came out of pocket for supplies and made sure to pay all fees to the building for my art show. I spent over $3,000 in supplies for my show in total. My art show is on May 26 from 5pm-9pm at the Overbrook Art Center. Tickets are $8 a piece and both drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. This is my first art show and it’s also my final project at SLA@Beeber. I want this to be one of my greatest memories of a lifetime. To be completely honest I believe it was worth it and I cannot wait for all of my jar work to turn into success.
