Spanish Children Book

Posted by Tymere Alexander in SPANISH 2 - Moran - D on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 1:27 pm

Final blog for today ladies and gents! This is a Spanish 2 project I did with my friend Kahsir Jones. What we had to do was create a Spanish Children book. This children's book had to be in Spanish and it had to involve a sick child with certain requirements one in which being the child can't die. Overall this project was reall fun because, it was my first time making a children's book. I always get happy when I try new things. This is my final blog for today. This is Tymere Alexander signing out.

For this project we had to create a collage interview. My partner Lucas, and I decided to do a performing theme, as he was going on an interview with the Julliard college of Art. We had to incorporate things such as place, time, food, ect. We also had to create a video recording the interview.

This project was made to celebrate the day of the dead. We had to choose a person that has died to celebrate their life. For this project, I chose to do my dad. I had to complete each component of the project based on my memories of him. We had to create a sugar skull, a mask, a monologue and record a video of us presenting our monologue. Each of the components mainly had to do with Christmas because that was the best memory of my father. This was a way to remember and reflect on his life

This is my Spanish Eulogy and its about my sister who had passed. The mask is colorful which reminds me of her colorful personality. The skull is just 3 colors red, black, and green which has a deeper meaning.

Dia de Los Muertas

Hola again fellow classmates. I'm here to offer you another blog post on a project I did in Spanish 2. This was my quarter 1 project named Dia de Los Muertas(meaning day of the dead). What I had to do for this project was to give a brief English summary on who my dead relative was and what he/she liked, what I thought of them as a person, and how they died(optional). Next I had to do a Spanish eulogy on my dead relative and perform it in a video. To me this project was truly amazing because, it got me to understand my family a little more. It also made me realize I'm lucky to be alive.

Día de los Muertos - All components

Día de los Muertos was a benchmark that is all about remembering the dead. We were supposed to honor the dead by making sugar skulls out of them and mask for them. We also wrote a eulogy to commemorate them at heir funeral which is also supposed to be filmed. The person would have had to have been close to us in order for us to do this benchmark effectively.

Here all Spanish concepts from this quarter and from the pass quarter In this blog I have my Spanish college interview video with me and Daina Haughton my partner, Then I have My Spanish book created by me and partner Ngozi Enwereji, also I have a google slide presentation created by me and Hadja Diallo explaining the parts and concepts of Spanish "SER Y ESTAR to be", I also have my google doc presentation of "The day of the dead" talking about my Uncle and how dear he was to me and how I never really had the chance to really meet him, So I really think these links of documents and videos really broke down the concepts of Spanish and also so fair with these pass benchmarks I enjoyed working with these people they were motivated partners and really focus and got the work done so I think we did pretty good, I am really looking forward to good partnerships like the one's I had they really were  interesting partnership

For this project we had to write a spanish children's book, on a child getting sick at school and then is taken to the hospital or a child  wakes up sick and is taken to the hospital then sent to school. Me and my partener choose the first options and I had fun creating the characters in book and being an author of a spanish book.
