For this project we had to create a script and video in Spanish of a fake news broadcast which included several things we have learned so far in class. We each had our own roles for the broadcast: I was the Meteorologist (and video editor), Josh was the breaking news anchor, Wayne and Brandon were the main anchors, Hadja was the fashion consultant, and Darian was the health consultant. I really liked how our video turned out, and this was a fun project to do.

Spanish 2 News Broadcast Project

For this project we had to make a script and news broadcast in Spanish including the different topics that we have studied over the course of our Spanish 2 career. My group and I all had different roles, I for example was the "Health" section of the broadcast while Mercedes was the "Breaking News" section of the broadcast. We all did well on our parts and made time for filming and editing. I am proud of this project because I think that we all worked well together and devoted enough time to film to make a quality product that looked good in the end.

For this benchmark, we had to pick a city and create a news broadcast that includes anchors, a choice between a 5 or 7 day forecast, health, fashion, and breaking news. For the city, we decided to do Philadelphia. As a group, we thought about what requirements could fit into each segment before writing the script. After writing the script, we went back to check that we had incorporated each requirement. To make our project better, we included things such as a logo, animated transitions, dressing the part, and props. While recording, we made sure where we recorded looked presentable and had good lighting. The only problem we thought we had was the two snow days. However, we still had plenty of time to record and edited. We used our time wisely. As a result of this, we had finished and submitted our benchmark before the 10 o'clock deadline.

Conversational PowerPoint

This project was to record you and your partner having a natural conversation. So for example we had to incorporate time, date, location ect. I did have some difficulty trying to put the video clips together but thanks to my partner we were able to do so.

This Project was based on making a childrens book that utilized basic concepts. All of the stories focus around A child becoming sick.

Spanish Children's Book

For this project Emanuel and I created a book about a boy, Juan, who feels sick, but want's to go to a soccer game. I am somewhat proud of this project because the Spanish is (mostly) correct.

College Interview

This project was very stressful but somewhat fun at the same time. Working with Hadja was cool she's a good partner, and one thing I learned is always be on the same page with your partner. Another things is always remember your script or most of it because constant looking at it while recording a vid won't work. Always play the roll in your video also.

For this "Conversational PowerPoint", we would have been able to build upon the basic communication skills mastered in the Spanish I course. We used vocabulary, phrases and provided materials to create a presentation with video clips in pairs.
