Poetry Project

For this project, we had to pick a Spanish author and one of his poems. For all the components, we had to describe the poets life, our personal life, their poem, and then create a poem based on the themes in the poem. My poet was Mario Benedetti. His themes in the poem were about love and happiness. I chose to incorporate those themes, along with the requirements like all the tenses we needed, to make the poem about someone close to me. This project gave us a chance to be free and express our-self by writing openly in a different language. I think this was one of the better projects because we really got to connect to it.

For this project, we had to pick a Spanish speaking country and capital, and behave like traveling agents. In a group, we had to plan out three packages for a couple to travel somewhere. Things included real life prices and activities, restaurants, hotels, flights, etc. After this, we had to make three different ways of sharing content (brochure, powerpoint, and commercial.) I think it was an interesting project. However, the time goes by quickly and it is a time consuming project. Something I would do if I were to do this project again is manage my time.

Summary 
For this project we had to research, create and present travel packages for a trip to a Spanish-speaking country, for 5, 7, and 9 days. We had to create a final project that consists of a research based travel package brochure, a PowerPoint a recorded commercial and in-class presentation.

Reflection: Over all I think that this was a good project. The only bad part was the fact that we had groups and did not get to choose them. My group and I did not get along at all. I scored higher on the individual parts of the project instead of the group parts. It was a fun project overall and If i were to do it again I definantly think I could exceed expectations.

Ella fue un poeta y un activista. Ella Nació como Julia Constancia Burgos García decimoséptimo  de Febrero el año 1914, en Carolina , Puerto Rico.

Su nacionalidad es Puertorriqueña. En 1936, fue miembro del partido nacionalista de Puerto Rican. Ella tiene dos escuelas lleva su nombre.

Uno de sus famosos poemas es “El Rio Grande de Loiza”. Julia  desempeñó como Secretario General de las hijas de la libertad. La Universidad de Puerto Rico honró póstumamente Julia de Burgos por darle un doctorado en humanos las artes y las letras. Ella murió a la edad de treinta y nueve, en Manhattan, Nueva York. En 2011, ella fue puesta en el salón de la fama de escritores de Nueva York.

Soy Amani sheard y tengo quince años. Soy un estudiante en Academia de Liderazgo de la Ciencia. Hago gimnasia cinco días a la semana. Yo tengo muchos de los campeonatos estatales.Yo tengo tres hermanas y un hermano. Mi papá murió cuando yo tenía trece años de edad.Mi madre es una psicólogo y una consejero escolar. Mi familia y yo somos cristianos. Mi clase favorita es salud, mi maestro favorito es señora. Moran. Quiero ser pediatra.

Creo que el poema es muy bueno. Julia De Burgos ella quiere hacer un “ROMPEOLAS”. Ella quiere hacerlo con felicidad. En la poema, ella no quiere que pared para ver la tristeza. Yo sentir ella es tomando ella vida y está haciendo arte. Creo que ella vida es difícil en el momento. Ella no tiene no felicidad. Yo creo que los temas son felicidad y tristeza. Felicidad es lo que ella quiere. La mar es ella cuerpo y sentimientos. Ejemplo, ella ojos son  auroras. Esta poema es profunda. Es uno que te hace pensar. Después , tengo preguntas. ¿Está sufriendo? ¿Si, porque? ¿Está muriendo ? Que puede ayudar ?

Summary/Reflection 
Summary: For this project we had to research spanish poets. We had to find things about their lives and gives facts about ours. We then had to analyze a specific poem from then and then re create it. 

Reflection

On this project I think about if my grade reflects my work ethic I think does not because I do believe that I truly worked hard to do a few extra sentences here and there and to make a poem that was good. I realize that just because I did do extra sentences, that does not mean they were all correct. My grade was a meeting or approaching expectations score and that is what my sentences were, therefor I believe at the same time my grade does reflect my work ethic. I did put in work on this assignment but it was not all of good quality. I did follow the project guidelines. I did everything that was asked in the project. I do think this did impact my grade. I say this because I ,did the bare minimum for some sections. Like when I was supposed to do at least eight sentences, I did exactly eight sentences. This depending on the grammar gives me a meeting expectations score. Some obstacles I faced with this project was creating the sentences. Creating a sentence is easy but making one that exceeds expectations was challenging. Also the analyzing the poem and changing it into my own thoughts and words was hard.To better my work performance I think I need to do more than just meet expectations to boot my grade up. So stop doing the bare minimum. 

La Poesía Española_Q3 Individual Project

This project was about writing a poem based off a poet of choice. You had to pick a poet and a poem that they wrote and create your own. I think that this was a really good project to express feelings. Also, I liked that this was a individual project because then you didn't have to share you opinion and feelings with others. Overall, this project was nice and helped express feelings

Project Description

For this project, we had to analyze a Spanish poet and one of their poems, and write a poem of our own based off of their poem. The poet I chose was Federico Garcia Lorca, and the poem I chose was "Ciudad Sin Sueños".

​Reflection

I thought I wasn't going to do a good job on the poem as I had no experience with poetry, but it actually turned out to be pretty good.

La Poesía Española_Q3 Individual Project #1
In this project we explored the world of poetry in Spanish. We explored the poetry of historical poets in Latin culture, as well as got the chance to create a poem in Spanish ourselves. Which for me was amazing, considering I write poetry all the time for fun. Writing one in Spanish was a fun experience that got me into writing poetry in Spanish after the project was over.

During this project we were overall in charge of creating a Flying company, creating packages we believed would attract the tourist to fly with us. This was an overall fun project, that thought me a lot of how much work goes into flying companies and all the work they have to go through in order to create  Trip deals and multi people flying packages at economic cost. Finding good quality yet cheap locations, as well as are in charge of other things such as transportation and the time it takes to get from one location to another and more small details as such. Overall requiring a lot of research and time.

Brandon: Buen día, yo soy Brandon James.

Wayne: Y yo soy Wayne Stackhouse.

Brandon: ¡Gracias por ver “¿Qué Pasa Filadelfia?” en el  canal siete!

Wayne: Hoy nosotros estaremos oír de las noticias de la moda, con  nuestra experta de la moda Hadja Diallo.

Brandon: Y las noticias de la salud, con  nuestro experto de la salud Darían Scudder.

Wayne: Y las noticias de la última hora con Joshua Bowers.

Brandon: Y finalmente nosotros estaremos oír con nuestro meteorólogo Zack Waxler con el predicción de las siguientes cinco días

La Presentación

Hadja: ¡Gracias Brandon, yo estoy muy bién hoy! Buen día filadelfia. Yo soy Hadja, y estoy aquí para mostrar la nueva tendencia de moda. Estas Timberlands rojos fue publicar en el dos mil quince, y ellas están muy popular. Estas hermosas duros timberlands pueden ser usados en cualquier especial momento durante la estación de invierno. Usted puede vestir estas timberlands con pantalones, pantalones de chándal o incluso con una falda. Estas botas negras y caqui son muy cómodas para el invierno y muy ellas están protector durante los días de la nieve. Usted puede usar esto con pantalones y una camisa linda y te verás fabulosa. Usted puede usar este equipo durante cualquier época del año. Esta sudadera gris, con pantalones y añadir estas zapatos lindas ágiles de rojas y blancas. ¡Ay diós mio! Está frio. Ahora estoy malhumorada. ¿Puedes pasarnos un actualización?


Transición Uno


Wayne: ¡Hadja sabe todos de los estilos! ¿Qué tiempo hace Zack?

El Tiempo

Zack: Gracias Wayne, y buen día filadelfia. Yo soy Zack Waxler y aquí está el reportaje del tiempo. El cielo será nublado, pero el tiempo será mucho más cálido que ayer. La fuerte temperatura por hoy será cuarenta, y la abajo temperatura será treinta y dos. Si ustedes van afuera hoy, necesitan unas chaquetas, guantes, bufandas, y botas. Ustedes necesitan proteger sus orejas, dedos, y dedos de pies del frío. Mañana será soleado y más cálido que hoy con una fuerte temperatura de cuarenta y tres, y una abajo temperatura de treinta y cinco. La semana próxima será aún más cálido con mucha lluvia el lunes, una probabilidad de nieve el viernes, y aguanieve el sabado. Ahora es hora para la reportaje de salud con Darian Scudder.


Transición Dos


Brandon: Yo espero que el frío detiene pronto Zack. Gracias. ¿Qué pasa Darian?


La Salud

Darian: Gracias Brandon. Buen día filadelfia. Yo soy Darian Scudder. Hoy en las noticias: en Filadelfia una problema grande de la salud es la obesidad. El Tasas de obesidad abajo en Filadelfia dice que el obesidad infantil en filadelfia es cuarenta y uno por ciento-- menos qué antes, pero aún inaceptable. Hoy yo enseñaré unas formas mantenerte saludable. Mi programa tiene tres piezas: la pieza primera es la comida saludable, unas comidas saludables son manzanas, naranjas, ensaladas, y espinacas. Comida chatarra está muy mal por tu cuerpo. ¡Ten cuidado! La pieza segundo es ejercicio, unos deportes saludable que ustedes pueden jugar estar esquí, tenis, béisbol, y voleibol. ¡Ejercicio está muy bueno por tu salud! La opción tercero es obtiene mucho dormir. Usted necesita más que nueve horas de dormir todos los días.


Wayne: Gracias Darian, buenas propinas! Ahora tenemos las noticias de última hora con Josh Bowers.


Las noticias de última hora

Josh: Gracias Darian. ¡Acabamos de ser informados que, Joaquín Guzmán o "El Chapo" regresó al cárcel! Él estuvo aprehendió porque estaba haciendo una pelicula de la escape. La marina de guerra capturaron vestido en una camisita sin mangas sucio y esposas en sus muñecas. El chapo fue el líder del Cártel Sinaloa, un grupo poderoso que venden drogas internacionalmente. El Chapo escapó por un túnel debajo de la cárcel el once de Julio. Esto no fue la primera vez que El chapo regresó al cárcel. Él escapó en dos mil uno y regresó en dos mil catorce.Los estados unidos no sienten seguros que El chapo no va a escapar otra vez. Ellos quieren que El chapo va a cárcel aquí porque los cárceles en México no son muy seguros.


La Conclusión

Brandon: Hadja enseñó consejos buenos de moda.

Wayne: Zack mostró nos su predicción increíble.

I think did pretty well this quarter benchmark even though I am still not really a fast learner in Spanish I still press on to try to do my best to see what I could do, also I think my group did pretty good job  though we had our up's and down's and little problems we still pull through. We also finish the project but really this quarter benchmark I think we were really focus and on the task at hand and did our best. What really what caught eye was collaboration and the support that was going around even though we got off task a couple of times there will always be a person in the group that would help lead and take control to tell us to get back on track. I enjoyed the amount of time we had each day to do our work it's like we measured our time day by day and we had a list the work that need to be done on each specific day but mostly I was glade that I got put with a group that did there work most of the time i'm always worried about who I get put with that does work and focus's for what is important. That would always worry's my mind every I think about but this benchmark I think I got put with good responsible group. I think we did amazing job i'm proud of myself and my group even though my grade could a little better at least I tried and we tried all together and that is all that was important to me as long as I and my group succeed with good work ethic and good time management that is all that would matter to me.
